Pet Odor Removal
The key to successful pet odor removal is to have a Technician
that is IICRC certified in Odor Control.
Urine bonds to the fibers and is very difficult to clean out.
First the areas of urine contamination must be identified. We can use
several different inspection tools to identify the areas of urine
contamination.
The urine must be treated with a special urine pre-treatment to break the
bonding so that when the carpet is cleaned much of the urine can be
extracted.
After extracting, the areas of urine contamination must be treated with a
deodorizer that attacks the urine at the molecular level to actually eat
the remaining urine and feces.
In extreme cases the carpet pad may need to be replaced and/or the
sub-floor sealed. Most of the time the carpet can be deodorized from the
top down.
When the proper procedure is followed excellent results can be
achieved!
